About Livia
Livia Mayer has a passion for mental health and children. For eight years, she worked with children in her free time as a scouts group leader. Livia completed her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health at Grand Canyon University with the goal of further studies to work with children in need of mental health support. She and her husband recently had their first baby and hope for a few more to come.

The Anxious Boa
Ariana is a very special girl. She has a vivid fantasy world that is more than just make-believe. When the animals come to life from her imagination, Ariana realizes that some of her animal friends are holding her back. Especially the big Boa constrictor that keeps her from playing with others. Her life changes when Jenna, the bubbly, joyful girl in her class, starts to befriend her. The start of their friendship is a new beginning for them both, even though they could not be any more different.The Heart-shaped Castle series aims to help children understand themselves and each other better by recognizing different and difficult emotions in themselves and others. It aims to give children a language to speak about what is happening and express what they are feeling.
